Scholarship Programs at Faith Christian School
One of the most important fundamental values in the operation of Faith Christian School is the desire to keep Christian education affordable. The truth is that education is a community enterprise. The public school is primarily funded through the taxing of the citizens. Christian education is partially funded by the tuition payments of the parents, but it must be subsidized by the generous giving of God's people.
Besides the giving of a donation, an excellent way to support Christian education is through contributing to one of the two scholarship programs that support Faith Christian School.
Here is the description of the two scholarship programs associated with FCS:
NC Opportunity Scholarships
This program is for new students to the school, including any new child added in a family. The state of North Carolina began this program to help families with the tuition for non-public schools. The Opportunity Scholarship program was established to provide tuition assistance on a need-basis. Below is a link to their website where you may obtain the application and information on the program. The scholarship can pay up to nearly $4,200 for a school year.
Visit http://www.ncseaa.edu/OSG.htm for application and more information. DEADLINE - MARCH 1
The Christian Scholarship Assistance Fund (CSA)
This is a scholarship that was established over 20 years ago by parents, former parents, grandparents and friends of Christian education. This is the first and longest running scholarship program for Christian education in Randolph County. Donations made to the CSA are applied directly and fully to the tuition needs of accepted families. The CSA also provides scholarship money for students who are planning to go into a Christian service program at a Christian college. This scholarship is awarded as funds are available.
Further information for each of these scholarship programs can be obtained through the school office: 336-824-4156.
Eagle Scholarship Educational Fund (ESEF)
The ESEF fund is a SCHOLARSHIP Fund used to assist families in need. A unique feature of the ESEF program is the capability to established "named" scholarships. These named scholarships are beautiful ways to show honor and respect for people and institutions.
There are basically four types of Named Scholarships that are available in the ESEF program:
- Honorarium
- Memorial
- Business
- Church
